Juslin and Mike are good friends with their guest Josh Mattfeld. The three of them served togehter in 3rd Battalion 7th Marine regiment aboard MCAGCTC 29 Palms. They deployed together to Ramadi, Iraq on two combat tours.

The first tour, from 2005-2006, Marines were engaged constantly and the battlefield was very hostile. During the second tour, in 2007, Ramadi underwent a transition phase. The area was still hostile however, after the execution of Sadaam, the region became calm and the rebuilding process began.

This episode provides insight into some of the mental and physical hardships that individual Marines face during war.
