In a conversation with Bennett and Sebastian, the two Marines discuss their motivations for joining the Cigars and Sea Stories team. 


Bennett served as a reconnaissance Marine with 2nd Recon. Battalion during the ’90s. He left the Corps only to become unsatisfied with civilian life. Looking for a change, he joined the Army infantry serving with 10th Mountain Division. Bennett acts as the “eyes and ears’ of Cigars and Sea Stories, collecting intel on current events, on-going veteran struggles and, new veteran initiatives coming on scene.

Sebastian served in 3rd Battalion 7th Marines, deploying twice to Ramadi, Iraq 2005-2006/ 2007. After his time on active duty, he reported to Marine Reserve unit 223 Weapons Co. in Port Hueneme where he finished his military career. He is the director of Cigars and Sea Stories, managing the content provided to all of you wonderful listeners.
