On this episode Josh Holley joins the Cigars and Sea Stories team for some smokin’ & jokin’!
Josh is the founder of The Tripoli Group, which provides finance and accounting support to high-growth startups. Josh was an enlisted Marine from 2002 to 2006, where he served as a 3043 Supply Operations Clerk (the best, most hated MOS in the Corps). Josh deployed with the 22nd and 26th MEUs attached to the MSSG; spending seven months in Afghanistan and six months in Kuwait.
After his contract was up, Josh attended the University of Tennessee where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Business Administration. He then attended Vanderbilt University and obtained his Masters of Accountancy.
Josh spent four years as a consultant at the Big 4 accounting firm, EY, working on the technical accounting for IPOs and merger and acquisitions. Additionally, he started EY’s Veteran Entrepreneur Academy to provide support to veteran entrepreneurs who were beginning to scale up operations.
