On this episode of Cigars and Sea Stories, Mike and Bennett discuss what it’s like to be a Entrepreneurial Veterans working from home.
There is a great amount of discipline needed to be an entrepreneur, the same type of disciplined displayed by your typical patrol leader. Sitting down to plan and coordinate a mission takes a great degree of skill, knowledge and management acumen – the same is needed to plan and coordinate business across a massive network.
The guys from Cigars and Sea Stories do not have a whole lot of work tips for you. This episode is more about the distractions that can occur while trying to stay on task. There are upsides and downsides to everything. Some upsides to working from home include: not having to wear pants, taking breaks whenever you want and, video games are only are reach away. Some downsides to working from home include: scaring away delivery drivers by answering the door without any pants on, passing out in the break room alone without anyone to wake you up and, first person shooters are addictive.
Just like any other type of employment, working from home has it’s good and bad aspects but it might be right for your if you have self-discipline and can get the job done without anyone bossing you around.
