On this episode of Cigars and Sea Stories, Mike and Bennett talk “Chai Boys”. Also known as the “dancing boys” or ‘Bacha Bazi’ boys of the Afghan sex rings found throughout the country.  There is a strange, underground, tradition of “Man-boy-Thursdays” when men and children engage in sexual acts.

We’ll take time for you to go ahead and google that?.. Yea that shit’s real?. I know. Take some time to process that. Yep, they’re diddling kids.

Here is a Frontline episode about tChai Boys, Bacha Bazihe practice.  The Dancing Boys of Afghanistan

Make note that the practice was outlawed under Taliban rule and was resurrected since the Taliban fell. It’s something that advisors deal with everyday when working with Afghan Police and Army. It is NEVER allowed on base, nor is any other sexual contact, however American control does not extend outside of the patrol base. During their off-time, jundis and police may travel home and anywhere else for that matter. What they do on their off-time is their business.

In the opinion of the Cigars and Sea Stories crew, these acts are disgusting and heinous crimes against the future generations of a society already tortured and broken by years of conflict and war.

Enjoy this episode and the enlightening research session that is sure to follow.  We look forward to reading your thoughts and comments.
