210: Tattoos, a Marine TraditionJuly 29, 2017 by Cigars and Sea Stories | Be the first to comment »
This episode of Cigars and Sea Stories is all about skin art, ink, getting tatted up. Tattoos a Marine tradition. Frankly, tattoos are a tradition throughout the military, but especially the Marine Corps. Mike and Bennett each have a significant piece of art that is wholly Marine. Bennett with his Devil Dog and Mike with the EGA. In the past tattoos were believed to be a sign of filth. Disgusting tattoo parlors cranked out generic, poorly done, pieces of ink that could hardly be claimed as art. Things have come a long way since the hepatitis laden days of yor. Tattoos are more common than piercings these days. Appearances may be deceiving. Keeping it professional means knowing your business and adding VALUE. When you send killers into battle you wanna be damn sure their hardcore muthatruckas. A true sign of badassery and commitment to the cause is a solid patriotic display of ink. You’ll find a couple of examples below. Send us your comments and pics of military artwork on our @CIGARSANDSEA Facebook Listener Group
